Sandra Kay Chadwick

Sandra Kay Chadwick, the daughter of Keith LeRoy and Delores A. (Jensen) Anderson, was born on September 22, 1960, in Harlan, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. She was raised in Harlan and graduated from Harlan High School in 1979. On June 28, 1980, Sandy married Curt Wayne Chadwick in Harlan. For a time, Sandy worked at Myrtue Memorial Hospital. Most recently, she had done residential cleaning and then worked at Variety Distributors in Harlan for four years. During the past few years, her health prevented her from working.

Sandy was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her family. She collected Snowbabies and enjoyed doing crafts, baking, and generally keeping busy. She loved animals, especially her two Boston Terriers, Zeke and Zues.

Sandra K. Chadwick died on Monday, March 8, 2004, at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, Iowa, at the age of 43 years, 5 months, and 15 days.

Preceding Sandy in death were her father and one brother, Allan Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Curt Chadwick of Harlan, Iowa; one daughter, Tanya Chadwick of Harlan, Iowa and her fiancé, Steve Bruck of Earling, Iowa; three brothers, Rick (Annette) Anderson, Gary (Janice) Anderson, and Dennis Anderson, all of Harlan, Iowa; her mother, Delores Anderson of Harlan, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, Iowa, with Pastor Heather Ploen officiating. Casket bearers were Rick Anderson, Gary Anderson, Dennis Anderson, Kevin Chadwick, Kristopher Chadwick, and Craig Harris. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery in Harlan, Iowa. The Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of the arrangements.
