Pamela Jeanne Jacobsen was born on October 15, 1957, the daughter of Duane and Shirley (Reimer) Juber in Guam. She was baptized and later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She grew up traveling as her father was in the military. Pam graduated from Bellevue High School with the class of 1975.
Pam married Dean Brudny in Bellevue and they were blessed with two children: April and Jeremy. Pam worked most of her life as a book keeper among other office positions. On July 2, 1994, Pam married Kirk A. Jacobsen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. They made their home on Kirk’s family farm near Harlan.
Pam was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, boating, playing cards and taking walks. She kept a garden and enjoyed canning her produce. Pam and Kirk looked forward to their annual vacations and spending many fun times at their home in Lake View. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with her friends and family.
Pam passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the age of 66 years, one month and 26 days.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Diana Berger, Laura Stirnitzke, and Brian Juber. She is survived by her husband of over 29 years, Kirk A. Jacobsen of Harlan; two children: April Brudny (Eric Bash) of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Jeremy Brudny (Terri Shafer) of Gretna, Nebraska; granddaughter: Breanna Elliott of Denver, Colorado; siblings: Christy Juber (Jim Halagarda) of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Bonnie
(Dan) Sanchez of Bellevue, Nebraska and Daryll Juber (Jennifer Weber) of Lincoln, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Marvel Jacobsen of Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn; siblings-in-law: Ricky Jacobsen of Omaha, Nebraska, Marcia (Paul) Currie of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Rhea Berger of Kimballton; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Heartland Funeral Home in Harlan. Inurnment will take place at 12:15 p.m. in the Jacksonville Cemetery on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Her memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. also on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. Memorials may be directed to the family.
