Kevin Paul Brisbois, son of Paul Edward and Denise Elaine (Wilds) Brisbois, was born on June 15, 1986, in Fort Carson, Colorado. He attended AHST High School, graduating with the Class of 2004. Kevin attended one year of college at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he studied Culinary Arts.
Kevin moved to Mesa, Arizona, and worked at Fry’s Grocery Store. He later returned to Shelby, Iowa, where he worked a number of jobs, including Love’s Truck Stop and Menards.
Kevin loved cooking, music, and playing video games. He was very close to his sister Jessica, and enjoyed helping care for his niece and nephew. A good artist, Kevin liked to draw. He also liked to spend time helping his mother in the her vegetable and flower garden.
Kevin P. Brisbois died on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 30 years, 7 months, and 8 days.
Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Parks; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Wilds; and his maternal grandfather, Donald Wilds. He is survived by one son, Mason Hodgdon of Mesa, Arizona; his mother, Denise (special friend, Dean Gaul of Earling, Iowa) Brisbois of Shelby, Iowa; his father, Paul (Wendy) Brisbois of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Jessica Brisbois of Shelby, Iowa; two half-brothers, Christopher Brisbois of Meridian, Idaho, and Elam Brisbois of Des Moines, Iowa; one half-sister, Olivia Brisbois of Des Moines, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Ramona Parks of Fort Dodge, Iowa; one niece, Layla Darling; one nephew, Tysen Darling; and other relatives and friends.
