Jane Ardith Morrison, the daughter of Edward Myron and Margaret Marie (Hess) Christensen, was born on March 4, 1946, in Harlan, Iowa. She attended Harlan Community Schools and was a 1964 Harlan High School graduate. Jane married Clifford Lee Morrison, Jr. Following her marriage, she worked at Variety Distributors in Harlan, as well as various area restaurants.
Jane and Clifford divorced in 1980, and in 1991, Jane moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she worked at Target, and was a caregiver for Norma Novak of Omaha, Nebraska. In 2011, Jane returned to Harlan to retire and be close to family.
Later in life, Jane became a member of the Mormon Church. She enjoyed fishing at Prairie Rose Lake. While living in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, Jane liked to swim. She was a caring and patient mother.
Jane A. Morrison died on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa. She had reached the age of 72 years and 8 months.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Richard Christensen, Donald Christensen, and Larry Christensen. She is survived by four children, Clifford Lee Morrison III of Bellevue, Nebraska, Tammy Jo Morrison of Detroit, Michigan, and Kevin Eugene Morrison and Susan Marie Morrison, both of Harlan, Iowa; one brother, Roger (Joann) Christensen of Harlan, Iowa; one sister, Nancy (Larry) Klein of Harlan, Iowa; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
