As of September 2024, Heartland Funeral Homes enter a new chapter of service and care with Tina Bartelson and Danielle Sondag Mickels assuming ownership. Both Tina and Danielle, deeply rooted in the communities these funeral homes serve, bring a wealth of experience and passion to their new roles as owners. 

Tina and Danielle’s connection to these communities runs deep. “We’ve been part of these areas for years,” said Danielle. “Our Huebner, Ohde, and Heartland locations all have a legacy of service that we feel honored to carry forward.” Tina echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of preserving the community ties and traditions that these funeral homes have built over decades. 

This transition stems from the vision of Mike Hoy, the previous owner, who expressed his trust in Tina and Danielle to continue the legacy of excellence. "One thing we’ve never wavered on is ensuring the success of the good people associated with us,” Mike said. “It’s time to make these locations their very own, and I can’t think of better individuals to take on this responsibility than Tina and Danielle.”
